A Mild earth quake jolted Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh this afternoon.

US Geological Survey said the quake was measured at 5.0-magnitude.

Primary sources said that the quake had been originated at Kabil area of Indian province of Meghalaya on Bangladesh-India border.

It further said that the quake was also felt in Indian province of Assam.

No casualty has been reported till filing the report.
