Environment Minister mourns death of Mohsin Chowdhury

Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Changes Md Shahab Uddin MP and the ministry secretary Ziaul Hasan on Monday expressed their deep shock and sorrow at the death of senior defense secretary Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury.

Mohsin Chowdhury, who was also former secretary of Environment, Forest and Climate Changes, died of COVID-19 at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Monday morning at the age of 57.

In a condolence messages, Shahab Uddin sought eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mohsin Chowdhury was a polite, amiable and reserved personality. He performed a praiseworthy role in environmental protection, forest conservation and wildlife management and tackling threats caused by climate changes during his duty in the ministry, Environment, Forest and Climate Changes Ministry's secretary Ziaul Hasan and Shahab Uddin MP said in separate messages.
