Secondary school teachers announce work abstention for Saturday
Bangladesh Secondary Assistant Teachers' Association has called one hour work abstention for Saturday (May 11) protesting the government's decision to keep all schools open on Saturdays.
Teachers will observe the work abstention from 10am-11am on Saturday at all secondary educational institutions across the country.
Bangladesh Secondary Assistant Teachers' Association confirmed this in a press release on Monday night.
According to the press release, the leaders said if the government does not rescind its decision, teachers will observe work abstention for the entire day every Saturday.
The decision was taken at a zoom meeting on May 4.
