29 firms in 12 sectors to get Green Factory Award today

The government will honour 29 firms with the Green Factory Award-2023 in recognition of their contributions to ensuring safety compliance, job creation and saving the environment.

Speaker of Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin will hand over the award to the companies nominated from 12 sectors at a programme to be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city on Sunday (today).

State Minister for Labour and Employment Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury announced it at a press briefing held Saturday at Srama Bhaban in Dhaka on Saturday.
The award will be given marking the National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Day, to be celebrated on April 28. The ministry introduced the award in 2020 to inspire OHS as a culture in workplaces.
