The export and import activities between India and Bangladesh through Hili land port resumed on Monday morning after a six-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr and Bangla New Year.
Earlier, the import-export activities through this port remained suspended from April 9 to 14 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Bangla New Year.
However, the movement of passengers with passports between Bangladesh and India through Hili immigration check post was normal.
Hili Land Port Import and Export Group General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman confirmed it.
Hili Immigration Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Ashraful Islam said that on the occasion of Eidul Fitr and Pahela Baishakh, although the import and export through Hili land port was closed, the movement of passport holders between Bangladesh and India was normal through the immigration check post.
