The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of police has arrested a fugitive member of the banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir from city's Dakshinkhan Police Station area on Tuesday night.
The arrested was identified as Md Ashikur Rahman alias Drubo, 34, son of Md Kutubur Rahman a resident of ward no - 49 under Dakshinkhan Police Station in the city.
Acting on a tip off, a team of ATU police conducted a drive in city's Dakshinkhan Police Station area and arrested him on Monday night, ATU Media and Awareness Wing police super Barrister Mahfuzul Alam Russel told BSS today.
Necessary legal action has been taken against him.
