Two children drown in Bhola

Two children drown in a pond at Char Fasson upazila in Bhola district on Wednesday.

The deceased were Junayed Hossain, 5, son of Md Harun, and Arafat Hossain, 5, son of Md Swapan. They were residents of Mianpur village in the upazila.
Quoting locals, Char Fasson Police Station officer-in-charge Shakhawat Hossain said Junayed and Arafat drowned in a pond nearby the house while playing on its bank in the afternoon.

Later, locals spotted the bodies floating in the pond and recovered them, the OC added.
