A court in Narail has sentenced a man to life term imprisonment in a drug case filed in 2013.
Additional District and Sessions Judge-1 Md Akram Hossen handed down the verdict on Sunday.
The court also fined him Tk 20,000, in default, he will have to suffer two months more in jail.
The convict was Md Almgir Hossen, 53, a resident of Kagojpukur village north para under Benapole port thana of Jashore district.
According to the prosecution ,on January 11, 2013, police arrested Almgir with 92 bottles of phensidyl in Chasra area on Narail-Jashore road under Narail sadar upazila.
Following this incident police filed a case with Narail sadar police station later pressed the charge sheet against him.
