Death row war criminal dies at city hospital

A death row convict at Dhaka Central died on Friday night while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.

The deceased Amzad Hossain Hawladar, 85, hailed from Khulna, was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity during Liberation War in 1971.

Meanwhile, the convict was suffering from inguinal hernia.

The Civil Surgeon of the Central Jail sent him to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital where he died due to respiratory failure.
