86 held in anti-drug drives in city

DMP additional deputy commissioner (media and public relations) Hafiz Al Asad said police conducted anti-drugs drives in different areas of the city in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning and arrested them for consuming and selling drugs.

During the drive, 2,908 Yaba tablets, 13 grams and 31 puria (small packet) of heroin, 79.11 kilograms of hemp and 18 cans of  beer were recovered from their possessions.
A total of 60 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act, he added.
