Hefazat Secretary Gen Kasemi's janaza held at Baitul Mukarram

The namaz-e-janaza for Hefazat-e-Islam Secretary General Nur Hossain Kasemi was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital on Monday with the presence of huge number of his followers.

His younger son Mufti Jaber Kasemi conducted the janaza around 9:15am.

Before the funeral prayer, the senior Hefazat leader's brother Mawlana Abdul Quddus sough duo from all for his elder brother.

Kasemi breathed his last at the United Hospital around 1:15pm on Sunday while underwent treatment there.

The Islamist leader was admitted to the hospital on December 1 with cold related complications and breathing problem.

But, later, he tested negative for coronavirus.

Kasemi was made the party's Secretary General in the new committee formed on November 15 following the death of its top leader Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi.
