A court in Cox's Bazar has started recording deposition of three witnesses in Major (Retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder case.
Md Aias, Nurul Amin and Nazim Uddin, residents of Marishabunia village in Teknaf upazila, were produced before Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah on Wednesday morning.
Earlier, the trio were shown arrested in a case filed by slain Major Sinha's sister.
Meanwhile, suspended OC of Teknaf Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das is being quizzed by the home ministry-formed high-powered investigation committee in Cox's Bazar jail gate.
On July 31 night, Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing at a checkpost at Shamlapur area under Baharchhara union along the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.
On August 9, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the three witnesses in the case filed by police over Major Sinha murder.
