The home ministry-formed high-powered investigation committee on Wednesday questioned suspended officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf police Pradeep Kumar Das at Cox's Bazar jail gate.
The inquiry committee, led by its chief Mizanur Rahman, entered the jail around 10:45am for questioning Pradeep.
On Tuesday afternoon, he was sent to jail after his remand was over for the fourth time.
Pradeep abstained from disclosing much of the information during his 15-day remand. He is the number 2 accused in Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case.
Meanwhile, three witnesses in a case filed by the police over Major (Retd) Mohammad Rashed Khan murder have been put on a fresh three-day remand for the third time.
On Tuesday, Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah passed the remand order.
On July 31 night, Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in
police firing at a checkpost at Shamlapur area under Baharchhara union
along the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.
Later, his sister filed a case where she made
Baharchhara Investigation Centre's Inspector Liakat Ali as prime accused
and Teknaf Police Station OC as the accused number two. Besides, seven
more policemen were made accused in the case.
