Suspended sub-inspector Nanda Dulal has been produced before a court in Cox's Bazar as he decided to make confessional statement in Major (Retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder case.

He was produced before Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah at 10:30am on Monday from Rapid Action Battalion headquarters, the court inspector Pradeep Kumar confirmed.

On Sunday, suspended inspector Liakat Ali was also produced the same court for his confessional statement in the murder case. He gave his confessional statement to a judge under Section 164 for about five hours--from 11:45am to 4:45pm.

On July 31 night, Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing at a checkpost at Shamlapur area under Baharchhara union along the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.

Later, his sister filed a case where she made Baharchhara Investigation Centre's Inspector Liakat Ali as prime accused and Teknaf Police Station OC as the accused number two. Besides, seven more policemen were made accused in the case.

Senior ASP Khayrul Islam, also RAB's investigation officer of the case, Director of Legal and Media wing Lt Col Ashik Billah, Director of Intelligence wing Lt Col Md Sarwar-Bin-Quasem and others were present at the spot.
