Two siblings drown in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Mar 28: Two siblings drowned in a pond in Noakhalis Kabirhat Upazila on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Rameshwapur Village under Chaprashirhat Union of the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Bibi Fatema Begum, 7, and her brother Abid Hossain, 4, children of Abdul Hai, residents of that village.
According to locals the two children died after falling into a pond next to their house while washing their hands and faces around 8 am.
They were rescued and taken to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.Officer-in-Charge of Kabirhat Police Station Humayan Kabir said confirmed it.
