Crisis of quality venue is a long standing problem in sports arena. Especially football arena is suffering for a lot due to the problem. Bangladesh Football Federation was failing to hold different football events and matches of league out of Dhaka as there are very few quality venues out there.
Bangabandhu National Stadium is the premier football venue in the country and indeed it is the only mentionable football venue too.
Few days ago on May 24, Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi M Salahuddin, general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag set with Youth and Sports Ministry acting Secretary Kazi Akhtar Uddin Ahmed and officials of National Sports Council to talk about the matter at the BFF House in Motijheel.
There the BFF officials requested the authorities to take necessary initiative to renovate the stadiums including BNS in Dhaka, Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mustafa Kamal Stadium, Kamalapur in Dhaka, MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Sylhet District Stadium, Rangpur District Stadium, Rajshahi Stadium, Mymensingh District Stadium, Barisal District Stadium, Khulna District Stadium and Gopalganj District Stadium.
If the allocated money get properly used and the stadiums are expectedly renovated and developed, then the matches of Bangladesh Premier League and Bangladesh Super League would be held in ten venues across the country.
