Questions have been raised against Zahid F Sarder Saddi, Jacob Milton and Mendi N Safadi for cooking up a video to spread falsehood and travesty of truth against Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
It is also being questioned as to why Mendi, Israel's Likud Party leader, did not talk about his meeting with Joy earlier. If he had a meeting with Joy he would definitely have said it publicly as he had talked to the media several times but he made no mention of his alleged meeting. His claim comes to the fore after cooking up lies for BNP.
The recent viral video where Mendi made the astonishing claim of holding a meeting with Joy is another well-orchestrated attempt to hide the BNP's ploy to seek for help from Israel to overthrow the government, our investigation shows.
From the involvement of Saddi, a self proclaimed former adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, along with the appearance of a moderator named Jacob Milton, who was charged with identity theft in USA, is a testament to that dark plot.
Analysing some posts shared on the Facebook account of Saddi it is revealed that before the video was uploaded in Youtube, he announced the uploading of a video, apparently in the making.
"Breaking news is coming, truth will prevail," reads a status from the account of Saddi. Posted an hour before the video was uploaded, a photo was also attached that shows Mendi and Saddi standing together.
Before that, another photo was posted on the same account showing Mendi and Saddi taking food together at a restaurant. However, this time the caption was also the same.
After that video was uploaded, another clip was posted on his account showing that Saddi was calling for the arrest of Joy, with the same moderator present with Mendi at the event. Studio ambience clearly suggests that the interview was conducted at the same place.
However, resorting to false report is nothing new for Saddi to serve the cause of BNP.
In 2015, his attempt countered strong rage from two USA congressmen for issuing false press statement that claimed several of their colleagues have condemned the 'confinement' of BNP chief Khaleda Zia and an embargo on publicising her son Tarique Rahman's comments. Saddi, who lives in Florida, had served prison terms in over two dozen fraud cases in Florida and Arizona.
He was appointed the BNP's foreign affairs envoy and special adviser on November 17 in 2013, the party's US unit leaders said.
Lies and smears were also preached by the moderator.
At the beginning the moderator poised himself as a journalist to conduct the interview, whereas in reality, Jacob, once a branch manager of a mortgage company, was arrested by police on charges of stealing identity and of the opening of a bogus charge account.
An immigrant from Bangladesh, Jacob, who worked for the Griffin Mortgage Company as manager of its branch at 72-32 Broadway, in Jackson Height, also engaged in a second type of fraud, according to the police, using other people's identities to take out mortgage loans, New York Times reported.
Furthermore, Jacob, was vocal in preaching what the Jamaat and BNP leaders preached in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, BNP's repeated claim of a meeting between Joy and Mendi is being denied by Joy.
Besides, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif claimed that BNP staged the drama and Khaleda Zia's corrupt son Tarique Rahman was behind it.
