Razzak's 75th birthday celebrated on Channel i

Legendary actor Razzak's 75th birthday was celebrated on January 23 through a special episode of "Citycell Taroka Kothon," aired by Channel i. Channel i had previously executed a three day long planning featuring special programmes on Razzak. During the talk-show "Citycell Taroka Kothon" live footage of Razzak's birthday celebrations at his residence and footage of FDC from where film personalities expressed well wishes to the actor on his birthday. The programme was emceed by Mousumi Barua and produced by Anannya Ruma.
During the programme Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent floral tributes to Razzak. Mahbubul Haque Shakil, special secretary of the Prime Minister brought in the floral wreath. Shyky Seraj, news director of Channel i; filmmaker Amjad Hossain, actors Sujita, Faruk, Aruna Biswas, Ferdous, reporter Rafi Husain, Anurup Aich, Ovi Moinuddin and more paid respect to Razzak. To represent Razzak's family his younger son actor Shamrat, Razzak's granddaughter Arisha were present at Citycell Taroka Kothon. Anchor Shafiuzzaman Lodi and director Shamim Alam Dipen both pioneers of "Amar Chobi" the prominent destination for film documentation in the country also paid homage to Razzak with floral wreaths. Renowned actors Alamgir and Bobita wished Razzak well via TV messages. The programme ended with the cutting of the birthday cake for Razzak.
Razzak then went to FDC. He welcomed well wishers at his personal office at Rajlakshi Complex in Uttara throughout the afternoon.
Meanwhile internationally acclaimed film actress Bobita is due to give her first TV interview today on Channel i.
The special interview will be televised under the title "Antorongo Bobita" tonight at 9.35pm at night. The programme has been directed and emceed by film journalist Abdur Rahman.
The actress has talked about the chronicles of her life along with some special incidents at the programme.
