A charge sheet has been submitted against BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman's mother-in-law Syeda Iqbal Manda Banu as she did not submit her wealth statements. The charge sheet was submitted at the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Shamsul Arefin in Dhaka on Tuesday.
On January 12, the Anti-Corruption Commission approved the charge sheet.
A case was filed with Raman thana against Banu for non-submission of her wealth statement.
ACC depurty director R K Majumder filed the case.
On January 25, 2012, ACC issued a notice to Iqbal Manda Banu to submit her wealth statements. Her caretaker Zakir Hossain received the notice on her behalf.
