Death anniv

The 45th death anniversary of Al-Hajj AKM Fazlul Kabir Chovvdhury will be observed at Gohira under Raozan thana in Chittagong on Saturday.
The programme of the day includes millad mahfil quran- khani and feeding of the destitute.
It may be recalled that Fazlul Kabir was the leader of the opposition in the then East Pakistan Assembly, Chairman, Legislative Committee of the East Pakistan Assembly, Vice Chairman, Chittagong port-trust, Governor, Marine and Mercantile Academy, President, Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Counselor, Chittagong District Council.
He was the founder of Raozan College. He played a very prominent role in politics and social service during his lifetime.
