Reazuddin joins Summit Oil as Adviser

Rear Admiral (Retd) Riazuddin Ahmed has joined Summit Oil and Shipping Company Limited (SOSCL) as the Advisor of the company from this month.
Summit Oil and Shipping is the nation's leading fuel importer, distributor, storage service provider and marine distributor, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
 "I am proud to be a member of Summit Group which is the first local private partner of government to supply LNG, has commendable footprints in efforts towards achieving National Energy Security and hence the SDG-7 (Clean & Affordable Energy for All)," the press release quoted Rear Admiral Ahmed as saying on his appointment to the post.
 Prior to joining Summit, he held important positions such as Director Purchase (Navy) in Directorate General Defence Purchase (DGDP), Managing Director of Khulna Shipyard Ltd, Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) and Chairman of Mongla Port Authority (MPA) among others.
He spearheaded the first PPP project under the Ministry of Shipping while serving as the Chairman of MPA. He is a graduate of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Department from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
