New VC joins SUST

Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed of Dhaka University joined Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) as the 10th vice chancellor yesterday afternoon.
Earlier, Prof Farid reached Sylhet Osmani Airport at 12:00pm on flight and visited grave of Shahjalal (R).
Teachers, students and employees welcomed him on campus.
Joining SUST Prof Farid Uddin said that he would work to develop education and research qualities and to lessen session jam.
Aminul Haque Bhuyan, Prof of Institute of Nutrition and Food Science of DU, ended his four-year tenure on July 27.
