Corruption in edn sector won't be tolerated: Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Wednesday said corruption in the education sector would not be tolerated, according to an official release.
Officials and employees have to work with maintaining sincerity and honesty, he told a meeting at the Shikha Bhaban in the city.
Nahid said the government is setting its priority to specialization in education for developing skilled human resources to meet the demands in different fields of development.
"Main objective of education should be pro-life-oriented .... It will generate new knowledge to solve problem around our life," he added.
"Bangladesh has achieved a remarkable progress in expansion of education but it is still struggling to improve quality of education," Nahid said.    BSS
