Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed is an astounding versatile actress of both TV and film industry. She shares some of her words with The Daily Observer regarding her career, life and social activities.
Current works
Currently I am busy with a short-film where I am playing the role of a professional badminton player. I am being prepared by a coach. Later, I may go to India for a work, not confirmed yet though. After coming back, I will have to finish the post-production of my films - Dhaka Attack, Chondroboti Kotha etc.
Preferred roles
I do all sorts of interesting roles. Even I am ready to play the role of a cockroach, if I'm asked. Apart jokes, the character must have depth and gravity. I never prefer a role that doesn't have depth. So, I like to experiment with the uncountable variations of characters and horizons of acting. I don't like to be stuck at a typical place. I have always maintained this and will continue for the rest of my career.
Exciting feature of acting
Getting to live in so many different characters! No other profession in the whole world allows you to play the roles of various individualities. Today, I am a badminton player. The day after tomorrow, I might be a murderer. After that, I might be a princess. So, only an actor and actress can have the experience of living so many lives in one lifespan. This is what excites me the most about acting.
Other passions
I look at my life, work and activities as a whole. I don't have any individual passion. I am passionate about my life and acting, people, animals, nature, surroundings etc.
Leisure activities
I just like to sit idle as I don't get much time to do that (giggles). I am very hyperactive. So, sitting idle is a luxury to me. I just sit, think and watch my daughter or dog playing, look at nature, birds flying etc. Thus, watching my dear ones doing their stuff is my leisure activity.
Recent social activity
I try to do something every day. For example, this Eid, I brought 6 children from a village, who never came to Dhaka before. I took them to various places of Dhaka such as museums, FDC, shooting sets, Charukola etc so that their thoughts and dreams don't get stuck in the horizons of their village only. Along with clothes, I tried to gift them some dreams.
Your strength
I can love anything a lot and I don't care about having anything in return. I can love like Layla, Parboti, Chandramukhi, Pritilata etc. I adore and practise this strength of mine.
Your weakness
I am too sensitive and real. I am not fit for society to some extent, I feel. The child inside me is still awake. So, I have trouble wearing a mask. Although, I eventually have to wear a mask, however, it gets too late by then.
Preferred outfit
It varies day to day. As in, I am wearing black T-shirt today. Tomorrow, I will wear white salwar kameez. Nevertheless, I simply love white. I'd love to wear anything white.
Preferred food
Fruits, fish, bhorta, achar etc.
Favourite tourist spots
Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Bandarban. Sea also attracts me a lot only if it is not too much crowded. I used to love going to Cox's Bazar when I was a child. However, now the place is overcrowded.
Future plans
I don't have any long term plan. I live in the present moment. However, if I take anything on my hand, I don't get up without finishing it.
Message to the fans
Life is too short. Love yourself and others around you without thinking to get anything in return. Some loves are only meant for giving.
