BKSP,  Shenyang Sports University sign MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) and Shenyang Sports University in China recently.
BKSP Director General (DG) Brig Gen M Shamsur Rahman, BGBM, PBGM, ndc, afwc, psc and Shenyang Sports University President Leu Jhing signed the three-year MoU on behalf of their respective institutions on July 5.
BKSP officially confirmed the news on Sunday.
The MoU includes sportsperson and coach exchange programme and share intensive training facilities.
BKSP and Shenyang Sport University officials believe that the MoU will open opportunity for the two institutions regarding many aspects like sharing experiences on the field.
A large number of athletes in China were trained in Shenyang Sport University after it was founded in 1954. It is the leading institution of sports training and physical education in the sub-continent. Its students achieved a total of 364 medals including 103 gold in different international events.
Since, they got a world-class athletic and academic facilities, BKSP officials believe that the Bangladeshi institution would be beneficiary from the deal.
After BKSP's foundation in 1986, the Government-funded autonomous institution had played vital role in providing better athletes in different disciplines.
Earlier, a seven-member BKSP delegation led by its Director General (DG) left for China at the beginning of the month for the purpose.
The other members of the delegation were Joint Secretary also Director of the Sports Directorate Aminul Islam, Joint Secretary of Youth and Sports Ministry Azizul Haque, BKSP Director (training) M Mosharaf Hossain Mullah, BKSP college Assistant Professor Shamima Sultana, BKSP Sports Science Deputy Director (In charge) Nusrat Sharmin and Football Department Chief Coach Ujjal Chakeabarti.
The delegation also held a primary talk with the famous Beijing University regarding sports facility exchange during the tour.
