Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) sacked country's German hockey head coach Oliver Kurtz on Monday in a Working Committee meeting of the Federation.
The former hockey striker from German national team took charge of the boys nine months back in September last year.
The incident that left the highest authority of local hockey to take such action is Kurtz's leaving the camp and Bangladesh unnoticed.
There is a camp going on ahead of the Asia Cup which is scheduled to be held in Dhaka in October. The German coach left the camp without notifying anyone and BHF took it seriously. The federation is considering this act as a breach of the contract that was signed between BHF and the coach.
BHF General Secretary Abdus Sadek said that the local coaches will conduct the drill in the camp in absence of Kurtz.
He said, "Kurtz left us without any noticed. None knows when he left or where did he go and when will he return. Leaving like this is a violation of the contract with him. For that we decided to sack him."
Abdus Sadek added, "We will rely on the local coaches now and we have many success in past that was achieved under the local coaches."
