Two special BSTI teams, led by executive magistrate M Moshiur Rahman and executive magistrate Tazila Kabir Tropa, with the support from Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted the drive in the city's Chawkbazar and Gulshan areas respectively.
The BSTI team fined Original Bombay Sweets and Confectionery Tk 3 lakh for selling iftar items in an unhygienic manner while Alauddin Sweetmeat Limited Tk 2 lakh for violating the BSTI rules, said a BSTI press release. BSTI said it will further strengthen its drives against adulteration in the city.    UNB
