Samsung's upcoming One UI 9.5 software update has moved closer to its beta testing phase after a test build for the Galaxy S26 Ultra appeared on the company's update servers.
The firmware discovery, reported on Saturday (November 7), suggests that Samsung could open registrations for the beta programme soon. However, the company has not officially announced the programme or confirmed a launch date.
The reported build was spotted on Samsung's Korean and US update servers. Its appearance indicates that development is progressing, although it does not confirm when users will receive the update.
One UI 9.5 is expected to be based on Android 17 and could debut with Samsung's Galaxy S27 series in early 2027. The beta programme may initially be available in selected markets, including Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Technology publication Engadget reported that the firmware had appeared on Samsung's servers, while Samsung has yet to make an official announcement about the beta release.
