2 killed in Mymensingh road crash

Two people were killed and at least eight others injured in a head-on collision between a pickup van and a drum truck in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred around 6:45 PM in the Kanarampur area. Both deceased were passengers of the pickup van.
Police said the pickup was heading towards Trishal from Kanarampur, while the drum truck was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.
Nandail Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Azharul Islam said the injured were rescued and taken to hospital. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.
