Man found hanging in uncle's abandoned house

Police recovered the hanging body of a 25-year-old man from an abandoned tin-shed house in Jatrapur village of Harirampur upazila in Manikganj on Saturday afternoon. The body had already decomposed, with death suspected to have occurred four to five days earlier.
The deceased, identified as Rabbi, was the son of Rafiqul Islam of the same village. He lived with his mother in Gazipur but had grown up at his maternal uncle Abdur Razzak's house. He had returned from Gazipur about eight days ago.
Locals noticed a foul smell coming from the abandoned house around 5:00pm on Saturday and found Rabbi hanging from a beam with a rope around his neck.
Confirming the incident, Harirampur Police Station Officer-in-Charge J O M Toufiq Azam said police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.
An unnatural death case has been filed, and the actual cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
