Bangladesh began their SAFF Championship campaign with a victory over Bhutan, as Ibrahim struck the decisive goal in the 69th minute at the National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday (November 5).
The hosts secured three points to move to the top of Group A, making a winning start to their bid for a second regional title after a 23-year wait.
Bangladesh last lifted the SAFF Championship trophy in 2003, also on home soil. The tournament has returned to the country after eight years.
