Actress Dafne Keen, who rose to fame as a child star in the 2017 film Logan, has revealed that she was offered cocaine at Hollywood wrap parties when she was just 11 years old.
Speaking on the Inside of You podcast hosted by Michael Rosenbaum, the 21-year-old actress recalled witnessing drug and alcohol use at industry parties during her childhood, which influenced her decision to stay away from such substances.
“I was getting offered coke at wrap parties. Like, tiny. Like 11, 12, 13,” Keen said, adding that she fortunately refused the offers.
Keen said she had never been particularly interested in alcohol or drugs and preferred attending parties sober. She said she enjoyed music, dancing and socialising without consuming alcohol or taking drugs.
The actress also revealed that she sometimes pretended to have already taken something as a teenager to avoid peer pressure to drink.
Keen credited her Logan co-star Hugh Jackman with providing a protective environment during filming. She said Jackman ensured that her working hours were respected, that she enjoyed her time on set and remained shielded from tensions behind the scenes.
Following her breakthrough as Laura, also known as X-23, Keen went on to star as Lyra Belacqua in His Dark Materials. She later reprised her role in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) and appeared in Star Wars: The Acolyte and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
