The trailer of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi, based on the 2020 India-China border clash, is set to be released on Friday (November 6), following clearance from India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to Variety India, the film's trailer has received a U/A 16+ certificate and is 4 minutes and 43 seconds long. The makers are reportedly planning a grand trailer launch this week.
With a runtime of nearly five minutes, the trailer is among the longest in Bollywood. The trailer of Singham Again ran for 4 minutes and 58 seconds, while the first trailer of Ramayana was 4 minutes and 15 seconds long.
The film, initially announced as Battle of Galwan, is based on the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley. It was initially scheduled for release in April this year but was delayed amid controversy surrounding its subject. The film's theatrical release date has yet to be confirmed.
