English striker Harry Kane has expressed regret over never having the opportunity to play alongside football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, despite having watched both stars closely during their illustrious careers.

In a recent interview, Kane spoke about his admiration for Spanish football and his fascination with Messi and Ronaldo.

Messi and Ronaldo once dominated Spanish football in the colours of Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively, with their rivalry captivating football fans worldwide. Recalling that era, Kane said he had been attracted to Spanish football from an early age. Spain's triumphs at the European Championship and World Cup, along with the star-studded squads of Barcelona and Real Madrid, particularly impressed him.

Kane considers missing the opportunity to play for a Spanish club one of the unfulfilled aspects of his career. He said he would have loved to play in Spain had the opportunity arisen, while acknowledging that every footballer's career follows a different path.

The England captain, however, is happy with his current position and achievements at Bayern Munich. He is also in discussions over extending his contract with the German club beyond 2027.

Kane also credited former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho for playing an important role in his development. He recalled a conversation with Mourinho that positively influenced his footballing mindset and performances, helping him gain a better understanding of his own abilities.

Watching Bayern Munich play also strengthened his confidence about the possibility of joining the German giants and his future at the club.

Kane has scored 156 goals in 160 appearances for Bayern, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and German Super Cup titles. However, he is still seeking major honours in the Champions League and with the England national team.

He also celebrated his first Ballon d'Or triumph on October 26 in London, receiving recognition for his individual achievements.

Despite his personal success, Kane places equal importance on team honours. He described winning the Ballon d'Or as one of the most memorable moments of his life but believes lifting the Champions League trophy would be even more special.

The England star remains determined to achieve major individual and collective success during his career.
