Security forces managing situation effectively: Gazipur SP

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning (November 4) at the Palli Bidyut area along the Dhaka-Tangail highway, the Superintendent of Police stated that demonstrating workers are increasingly realizing that the government and state institutions are actively working to address their demands.

SP Jasim noted that as a result of this growing awareness, workers' inclination to join street agitation has diminished significantly.

He assured that vehicular movement across Gazipur's roads and highways has returned to full normalcy, with traffic operating without impediment and the overall security environment remaining completely stable.

The SP highlighted that multiple law enforcement units are working in a coordinated manner to maintain order, including the District Police, Industrial Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Special Response Battalion (SRB), Armed Police Battalion, and Ansar personnel.

Additionally, 25 platoons of security forces under the command of 25 executive magistrates remain deployed across the industrial zone to assist law enforcement operations, according to Deputy Commissioner's office sources.
