Malaysia repatriates 45 Bangladeshis

The deportations were carried out from the Pekan Nenas Immigration Detention Depot in Johor State as part of ongoing immigration enforcement activities.

According to data released by the Malaysian Immigration Department, the group of 182 repatriated individuals comprised 85 citizens from Indonesia, 45 from Bangladesh, 25 from Myanmar, 15 from Pakistan, three each from India, Thailand, and Cambodia, two from Sri Lanka, and one from China.

Immigration authorities stated that the detainees were sent back to their home countries via Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport. While most individuals possessed valid passports, those without valid travel documents received Emergency Travel Documents issued by their respective embassies to facilitate their return.

The department confirmed that every deported individual has been blacklisted by immigration authorities, barring them from re-entering Malaysia for any purpose during their designated ban periods.

To streamline the repatriation process, a special service center operates at the Pekan Nenas Immigration Detention Depot to assist detainees with purchasing airline tickets and completing necessary arrangements without any service fee or extra charge.

Immigration authorities advised that further information regarding detainees can be obtained by contacting the Records and Repatriation Unit at Pekan Nenas Depot via 07-6993540 or through their online inquiry system.
