Mominul Haque sustained a head injury while fielding during the first Test against the West Indies, which led to him being replaced as a concussion substitute.

According to ICC regulations, a player replaced due to a concussion is ineligible to participate in any match for the following seven days; consequently, Mominul will miss the Sylhet Test. Amit Hasan has been brought into the squad as his replacement.

Although Amit had previously been part of the squad for two series, he only received an opportunity to play in a single match, against Zimbabwe, where he scored 29 runs before being dropped. In the most recent round of the National Cricket League, Amit scored a double century against Khulna, earning his return to the national squad. Should he get the chance to play this time, he intends to stick to his natural style of batting.

During his debut against Zimbabwe, Amit batted at number seven. If he gets the opportunity to replace Mominul in the upcoming Sylhet Test, which begins on November 5, he is likely to bat at number three. However, he has no specific preference regarding his batting position; he is prepared to fulfill whatever role the team management assigns him.

He stated, "Unfortunately, Mominul *bhai* is not with the team due to a concussion. If I get the chance to play, I will aim to bat in the same manner and follow the same process that I have been using in first-class cricket."

Amit hopes that the nervous tension he experienced during his previous national team debut will not be a factor this time. Regarding his approach, he added, "It’s not really about personal preference; I believe I should play in whatever role the team management envisions for me."

The batter is also actively seeking to learn from the senior players in the national team, noting that he regularly discusses his game’s development and preparation with them. "I frequently talk to the seniors about how I can improve my game and refine my preparation," Amit said. "Overall, I always strive to gain from their experience."
