The law and order situation in Narayanganj remained calm on Tuesday, following Monday’s workers’ wage movement blocking the Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road.

Five platoons of BGB personnel have been deployed in the district. Of these, three platoons are being kept in reserve while two are conducting patrols, according to the deputy commissioner.
Meanwhile, normal activities resumed at industrial facilities across Narayanganj on Tuesday. Workers entered factories in the BSCIC industrial area of Fatullah as usual from the morning. A similar situation was reported at Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Siddhirganj.
Police presence was particularly visible at important intersections and other strategic locations across the city as authorities maintained security vigilance.
