Two nurses accused of beating colleague

A senior nurse was allegedly beaten by two fellow nurses over a dispute involving night-duty rosters at Badalgachhi Upazila Health Complex in Naogaon.

The incident took place beside the emergency department around 11:30 AM on Wednesday (October 28).

The victim, Shahinaz Parvin, has been receiving hospital treatment for three days. The accused are Shilpi Akter and her sister Lipi Akter.

Shahinaz alleged that the two sisters assaulted her, leaving injuries to her face and other parts of her body. However, the accused denied the allegations, claiming Shahinaz attacked them first. Both sides have filed complaints with the police.

Police said the matter was under investigation. Hospital authorities have also formed a five-member committee to investigate the incident and submit a report next week.
