Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Saturday (October 31) reaffirmed his party's commitment to building a desired Bangladesh by ousting extortionists, corrupt individuals, and land-grabbers while restoring law and order across the country.
Addressing a roadside rally at Bhanga roundabout in Faridpur during the 11-party alliance's long march from Dhaka to Khulna, Dr Shafiqur stated that opposition leaders have taken to the streets to realize the legitimate rights of the people.
The long march commenced earlier in the morning following a brief rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital, before the convoy proceeded towards Khulna via Mawa, Naodoba, Madaripur, and Bhanga.
The Jamaat chief expressed deep gratitude to the general public for standing beside the alliance and supporting their demands throughout the journey.
Organizers noted that the day-long program includes a series of rallies at Katakhali in Bagerhat, Babri Square and Swadhinata Square in Khulna, Murli Intersection in Jashore, and Jhenaidah-Chuadanga bus stand, concluding with a grand rally at Shahid Abrar Fahad Stadium in Kushtia.
