Rain may bring slight temperature drop

Rain or thundershowers may occur temporarily in Dhaka and adjoining areas on Friday, while daytime temperatures may fall slightly, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The forecast, issued for the six hours from 7:00 AM on Friday (October 30), said skies may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy.

Winds may blow from the northeast or north at 10-15 kilometres per hour.

The Met office recorded a temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius in Dhaka at 6:00 AM, with 85 per cent humidity. Thursday's maximum temperature was 33 degrees Celsius, while Friday's minimum was 26.6 degrees Celsius.

Light rainfall was also recorded in the capital over the past 24 hours. Sunset is expected at 5:21 PM.
