The government has decided to keep the prices of diesel, octane, petrol and kerosene unchanged for November, maintaining the rates set on September 20, according to a notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Thursday.

Under the decision, diesel will sell at Tk 135 per litre, octane at Tk 165, petrol at Tk 160 and kerosene at Tk 155.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Division issued the notification following a letter from the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) dated October 26. The memorandum was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Enamul Haque of the division's Operation-1 branch.

Fuel prices also remained unchanged in October after the government raised the prices of all four fuels by Tk 20 per litre on September 20, with the revised rates taking effect on October 1.

The decision means fuel prices will remain unchanged for a second consecutive month.
