Woman dies after being hit by an auto-rickshaw while crossing the road

A woman named Alo Rani Rajbanshi, 41, died following a road accident in Pubail, Gazipur. On Wednesday night, she was struck by an auto-rickshaw while attempting to cross the road in the Majhukhan Purba Para area. She was subsequently taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

According to police, an auto-rickshaw was traveling from Mirer Bazar toward Tongi at night. As it reached the area in front of 'Halal Motors' in Majhukhan Purba Para, it struck Alo Rani Rajbanshi while she was crossing the road. She sustained injuries to her head and various other parts of her body.

Following the accident, local residents rescued her and transported her to the Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital in Tongi, where she was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

The deceased, Alo Rani Rajbanshi, was a resident of Rampur Birpara in the Kalihati Upazila of Tangail district. Her father is Ratan Chandra Rajbanshi, and her mother is Lakshmi Rani Rajbanshi.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Anwar Hossain of Pubail Police Station stated that further legal action is being taken in connection with the incident.
