Two arrested in Habiganj with 42 Yaba pills

Two individuals were arrested by the police in Habiganj town for possession of 42 Yaba tablets. The arrests were made by the Sadar Model Police Station during a raid on a residence near the banks of the Haripur River, within the Habiganj municipal area, around 3:30 AM on Saturday (October 25).

The arrested individuals are Md. Enamul Rashid, alias Enam, 44, son of the late Omar Ali from the Umednagar Paschimhati area of Habiganj municipality, and Md. Khokon, 25, son of Shahin Miah from the Natirabad area.

According to police sources, the raid on Enamul Rashid’s residence near the Haripur River was conducted based on secret information. During the operation, 42 Yaba tablets were recovered from their possession.

The police stated that a case under the Narcotics Control Act is already pending in court against the arrested Enamul Rashid. A formal case has been registered against both individuals, and they have been sent to court.
