Four nations blame Israeli occupation for middle east turmoil

Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Egypt have said that Israel’s occupation is primarily responsible for instability in the Middle East and beyond.

The four countries made the remarks in a joint statement issued on Friday following a meeting of their foreign ministers in Istanbul, Türkiye’s largest city.

The statement said that Israel’s occupation was responsible for the region’s problems.

“Israeli government policies are exacerbating injustices around the world,” the joint statement said.

The four countries also reaffirmed their support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
