Modi slams congress, calls Rahul Gandhi a ‘Failed Product’

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly criticised Congress over its protests on various issues, including the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, accusing the party of damaging India's global image and disrupting Parliament.

Speaking at a media summit on Thursday, Modi alleged that Congress was tarnishing India's reputation abroad and preventing other opposition leaders from speaking in Parliament.

Without directly naming Rahul Gandhi, Modi questioned how long Congress would put the country at risk by repeatedly trying to relaunch its “failed product”.

Referring to the Sriharikota space centre, he sarcastically said Congress had failed more times in relaunching its leader than the number of satellites India launches in a year.

Modi described the Gandhi family as a burden on Congress, claiming that senior party leaders privately acknowledged this but remained silent publicly.

He also accused Congress of disrupting parliamentary proceedings to keep one leader in the spotlight, depriving other opposition MPs of opportunities to speak.

The prime minister further alleged that Congress was undermining movements aimed at exposing government failures and reforming the system.

Calling Congress a “parasite”, Modi claimed the party was under the influence of “urban Naxals” and had lost its ability to think independently.

Despite these challenges, he said, the government remained committed to building a “Developed India”, driven by the aspirations of its 1.4 billion citizens.
