Bangladesh spinner Aliss Al Islam faces an independent bowling action assessment after match officials questioned its legality during his ODI debut against Afghanistan in Sharjah on Wednesday (October 21).
The concerns emerged after Bangladesh's defeat to Afghanistan in the tri-nation series, which ended the Tigers' hopes of reaching the final. Under ICC regulations, Aliss will be required to undergo testing at an authorised centre to determine whether his action complies with the rules.
The 29-year-old bowled 8.3 overs and conceded 47 runs in the match. He had made his international T20 debut against Sri Lanka earlier this month during the Asian Games.
The latest report is reportedly the fourth occasion on which Aliss has faced scrutiny over his bowling action.
Bangladesh also lost to Zimbabwe in the tournament, leaving Zimbabwe and Afghanistan to contest the final on Friday (October 23).
