Gold jewellery prices have been reduced by Tk 1,691 per bhori for 22-carat gold, bringing the price to Tk 226,340, including VAT.
The new rate came into effect at 10 AM on Thursday, October 22, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).
The price cut follows a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market. BAJUS announced the decision in a notice signed by the chairman of its Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring, Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen.
