Women celebrated the traditional sindoor festival at Durga Puja mandaps across Dinajpur on Bijoya Dashami on Wednesday (October 21), praying for the well-being and prosperity of their families, children and loved ones.

Before the immersion of Goddess Durga, they offered sindoor at her feet for one last time. Married women then smeared sindoor on one another’s foreheads and hair partings, exchanged sweets and shared festive moments.

The mandaps came alive with dancing, singing and joyful celebrations as devotees offered their final prayers and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity for their families.
