Pakistan defeated England by 87 runs after an impressive all-round performance, with Arafat Minhas starring with both bat and ball in the ODI tri-series in Rawalpindi.
Batting first, Pakistan posted 302 for nine in their allotted 50 overs, with Minhas scoring 59 off 58 balls to strengthen the innings. England struggled in reply and were bowled out for 215 in 38.4 overs, falling well short of the target.
Minhas was named Player of the Match for his valuable half-century and outstanding bowling figures of six for 40. His performance helped Pakistan secure their second consecutive victory in the tri-series.
Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi praised the contributions of Minhas, Hasan and Faheem Ashraf, while acknowledging that the team still needed to improve its top-order batting and overall consistency.
Pakistan will now have a break before England face Sri Lanka in the final match of the tri-series in Rawalpindi on October 22.
